Surface treatment of bipolar plate

Bipolar plates require proper surface treatment. After nickel plating on the anode side of the bipolar plate, the electric conductivity is good, and it is not easy to be wet by electrolyte, which can avoid electrolyte loss. The flexible contact of the bipolar plate outside the effective area between the electrolyte diaphragm and the electrode effectively prevents gas leakage, which is known as the "wet seal". In order to reduce the corrosion of stainless steel by molten carbonate in the "wet seal" part, it is necessary to "aluminize" the bipolar plate frame.
